Without access to a working instrument, many students quit orchestra. This is unfortunate since playing in a musical ensemble is arguably one of the most rewarding experiences a child can receive. Playing cello in particular is where some students find their "voice". But, like all equipment, school instruments need to be replaced from time to time. Put a cello in the hands of a student and keep music in their life. It is my goal to replace the dwindling supply of working school instruments, one at a time, to ensure that future generations will be able to participate in orchestra.
