Welcome to my world of Physical Education. I have been teaching in a highly diverse elementary school for 8 years now. My students love attending Physical Education and are open and willing to learning new skills and concepts. For some of my students, Physical Education may be the only setting where they can learn and practice various skills and concepts associated with health and fitness. To combat a rising obesity rate, each of our students needs to develop a life-long appreciation of fitness and exercise. Our school's Physical Education Program helps each student expand their knowledge of fitness in intriguing activities which will motivate them to create a life long interest in being active. One way students can maintain this lifelong interest in health and fitness is to be exposed to using different types of equipment through a variety of different sports and activities.
