  • One Computer Is Never Enough

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations. This computer will complete the set for a learning center. It will allow students to work on various platforms during the independent work time and conduct research on class projects. I will also be able to utilize the computer during our core literature circles.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S.

  • Keep It Clean

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

Thank you for donating to my project "Clean it Up". My students were very excited to receive the vacuum. Now, we can keep our space clean and tidy.... All the students want the job to vacuum the rug and floor.

The vacuum has become an asset to my students. It helps provide a clean and comfortable spaces for students to work.

The students come to school excited to know that their work space and seating area will be clean. Thank you for helping to bring this comfort to my students. We are forever grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S.

  • Storage Makes a Difference

    Funded Sep 25, 2019

Thank you for supporting my project and allowing me to create storage space for my students. This new storage space frees up desks space, so there is more room for the students to collaborate. This also allows my students to move around the classroom with ease.

This year my classroom is new to CGI: cognitive guided instruction. The space organizers help my students to move throughout the classroom easily. This allows my classroom to be more of an open seated classroom, which is a key component to a collaborative learning environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S.

  • Where is the Computer?

    Funded Dec 30, 2014

Thank you for your donation to my project. My students now have the appropriate tool to do research at their desks as well as in small groups. Now that we are transitioning to the Common Core Standards the students need access to the Internet more than ever before. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to add a few more laptops to my classroom. My goal is that each student has a laptop at their desks to utilize for assignments. With generous donors like you hopefully my dream will come true in the very near future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S.

  • Guitars in the Classroom

    Funded Dec 10, 2011

I just wanted to take this time to thank you again for contributing to my classroom project. This guitar along with the others that I have in my classroom allows me to continue to instruct students in basic guitar chords and songs.

This year our school district is facing extreme budget issues and the arts are the first thing to be cut. Your donation has made it possible for music education to continue in at least my classroom.

Words cannot explain how motivated the students get when I incorporate music into the curriculum. Thank you for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S.

  • Guitars in the Classroom

    Funded Jun 3, 2010

Thank you for donating to my project. I received 4 guitars for my classroom and with the two I already had I am able to conduct meaningful lessons in music.

This year I am challenged with a variety of learners ranging from low ability to grade level. I also have special need included in my class. It can be difficult, at times, to meet all their needs. However, when we play and learn the guitar they all walk away feeling successful. I conduct lessons on the guitars that are helping them in reading, math, social studies, and science.

This modality of learning has had a profound impact in my class. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. S.

Hello Everyone, I teach 4th grade. My students range from general ed, at-risk, and second language learners. I have students with Asperges Syndrome, autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities. It is a real challenge to meet all their needs. One thing that brings them all together is music. I do my best with my limited resources to bring the arts into all of the curriculum.
