Sly Park Outdoor Education Opportunity.
Funded Dec 4, 2019We had a wonderful trip up to Sly Park Educational Center. My students were excited to be up in nature and see many of the things we were learning in school first hand. The excitement started by seeing snow for most of the students. Every day the students were buzzing about the hikes and activities they had participated in that day. The trip came at the perfect time as we were learning about the National Parks and the importance of preserving nature. The connections to the content in the classroom and the experience at Sly Park is the kind of learning that will stick with these students for the rest of their lives. Thank you for your support in educating the youth and helping us go on this trip.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Rommel

Funded Oct 21, 2018On behalf of all my students we would like to thank you for helping us make this trip possible. It was with your help that all of our students had the opportunity to learn in the hands on outdoor educational program offered by Sly Park. For most of these students it was the first time staying away from home, being out in nature, and learning what they can do to contribute to the preservation of our natural resources.
My students were able to take the learning in class and apply it in real life scenarios. To see the light bulbs turn on as they turned to me and asked "Is this like what we talked about in class?" Those connections are vital and create memories that will last forever.
The trip came at the best time in the year as we are going to begin reading about our relationships in nature. The students will be learning about the National Parks and all of the people that helped create them. Not only will be able to read about the people who helped preserve our land but they now understand why it's important to do these things.
In closing thank you for helping provided memories that will last a life time.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Rommel
