My Saxophone is Missing Again...How am I Supposed to Practice?
Funded Sep 14, 2018I want to first personally thank you so much for this amazing gift! A student without a personal instrument can learn but is hindered by the lack of time spent on that instrument. Now thanks to your help we now have no more students sharing an instrument and being left behind while everyone else is getting to practice whenever they want to.
Since receiving these saxophones, we were able to provide all of our saxophone players with their own saxophone to use and practice on all year. They are thriving on their instruments and have improved the overall quality of our band and band program. They were so blown away by how new and shiny they were as well as with how well they played. Their hard work will all pay off when we get to show off our new skills and perform in our spring concert in June. Thank you so much once again for supporting our music program and music programs in general!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Oberer
Um...What Are We Supposed to Play?
Funded Dec 15, 2014When you donated to my school you open up the door for many of my students. Although it was a few instruments, it is shared through 3 grades and allowed for more students to get their fair opportunity with music. It also allowed them to perform in their first concerts this year and they were a major success thanks to your kindness and selflessness. The students are taking the method books home when they go practice as a reference and are helping them learn to apply the new musical vocabulary we are learning through new, challenging pieces. We have a goal set as a band to play at Music in The Parks and with your generosity we are now one step closer to that goal! We are forever in your debt and are forever grateful that you were willing to give to music. It has made my job so much easier to know that nobody is left behind in my music room.
Thank you so much!!!”

Snare Drum Sorrows
Funded Aug 28, 2013I just want to thank all of you so much for the amazing support you have shown my program. The students were so excited to play a "real" snare drum and get to actual learn and create a true drum roll. They use the snare drum in our school's first ever concert band and have been able to provide us with the true sound we need from the percussion section. This project enabled me to teach these students how to truly play the snare drum and learn all the rudiments for success on the instrument. I now have a solid and complete percussion section thanks to you!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kia Motors America and 5 other donors.Music for All and All for Music!!
Funded Dec 3, 2013Thank you so much for your generous donations! With these great materials my trumpet players will never get a mouthpiece stuck inside their trumpet ever again. My percussionists will never have to worry about not having the correct mallets for a piece and most importantly my special education classes can fully enjoy music. The boomwhackers have already been used to their advantage with color coded songs and games that enable them to get the fullest enjoyment out of their music experience. The mallets have served to be extra useful for my bell player and my cymbal player as well. Rather than having to you their drumsticks all the time, they now have the proper mallets to use to achieve the highest potential. The students thought that the boomwhackers were so cool and couldn't believe that a simple piece of plastic could become a pitched instrument. My curriculum has been able to widen to satisfy the needs of all types of learners.”

Mr. Oberer
It's Hard To Read Music in Band Without a Good Stand
Funded Oct 11, 2012Since receiving the reeds, valve oil, books and stands, the students have been able to properly set up and play their instruments to their fullest potential. Thanks to your help, they are now ready to begin their journey in a band program. All of these supplies will be put to use every day and greatly impact the success of our program. The students in the school are extremely enthusiastic and anxious to start learning to play an instrument and participate in the band. These supplies have helped pave the way for our band program's beginning.
Without the generosity of your donations, this program would not have the jump start that you have made possible. Method books will give them the fundamental tools and skills they need to become proficient players.
Our program and our school cannot thank you enough for the support of our students and music education in public schools.
Thank you for helping music flourish!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Oberer
