My students are bright but majority have an extremely difficult time calming their bodies, focusing their attention and concentrating on their school work. Research shows that flexible seating like the exercise balls and seating additions like the Bouncy Bands for Desks positively impact the attention and focus of students with ADHD and other learning disabilities, which many of my students struggle with. I have tried many different things to help my students focus and have come up short. I firmly believe that these adjustments to their desks and the addition of flexible seating will greatly increase their focus and engagement. By donating to my project you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. My students will be able to wiggle and fidget while still being able to be productive and stay engaged. They will have a safe and effective way to control their impulses while increasing their focus and concentration.
