  • Headphones and Cases for iPads

    Words cannot express how thankful I am for your generous donation. My class has been fortunate enough to receive iPads from your foundation. In order to protect these expensive items we needed sturdy cases. Now my students do not have to worry about dropping their iPad and it breaking or anything happening to them because we have cases for them. We now have headphones for each student which allows them to listen to reading passages, play games with sound and much more. Thank you for believing in my project and in my students.   • I Can With an iPad!

    Thank you so much for donating to our class. Typically we have 2 iPads for the class to use and share. Because of Covid, students are no longer allowed to share materials. With that being said, my students are not being exposed to technology in the classroom which is crucial. Now, each of my students have their own iPad, case and headphones that allows them to continue learning and utilizing technology in the classroom in order to continue to reach their full potential.   • Mid Year Supply Restock!

    Thank you for your donations towards my project! Because of Covid, all schools closed in March. Luckily, I was able to use all of the items in this project for my students this year. This way they have plenty of glue sticks and pencils for learning. We also have been creating many projects in which we are able to use the binds to hold them together. This includes a Mother's Day gift and many more. My students also love the Mr. Sketch markers and love smiling them! Thanks to you, my class is able to continue to succeed in the classroom without having to worry about basic materials and supplies.”

  • Make Learning Colorful!

    Thank you so much for your generous donation! Recently the teachers and students have lost access to a colored printer in our building. Because of your generosity, my class now has access to a colored printer in our classroom! So far we have printed worksheets, book labels for our classroom library, pictures for our Biography project (MLK, Obama, etc.), fake money for our new math unit, and lots to come this week! Printing in color makes the students feel proud of their hard work and it motivates them to try even harder. The students have been super excited to be able to print what ever we want when we want. These manipulative will make learning math a fun hands on experience for my students. The common core math curriculum can be difficult for students to understand with out the ability to manipulate things. The understanding of place value and regrouping is hard to visual for many students. The use of place value blocks makes regrouping a much easier concept to understand. The second grade math curriculum also requires students to master measurement in inches and centimeters using both cubes and rulers. With out inch and centimeter cubes or enough rulers for each student this becomes a very difficult task. We have been getting by with paper rulers and cut outs of approximate inch and centimeter cubes but nothing is better than having the correct and true cubes and rulers. Second grade students are also expected to learn about money- coin names, values, and counting coins. How do you do that with out having money? Play money becomes a necessity during our money unit. In the end, your donations will help my students gain life long knowledge and a love of math. Math can be boring, but when you add the hands on component of manipulates math becomes more engaging and easier to understand. These manipulative will be used specifically to build their knowledge and mastery of the skill we learn in math class, skills that they will take with them throughout their education and into their adult life. Your donations will allow my enthusiastic students the ability to grow into the amazing mathematician I know they could be if they had the chance to have fun with math.
