• Technology in Appalachia

  Through your generosity my students have been exposed to many great resources available only through the unique technology available through Google Chromebooks. We have used these resources each and everyday since they arrived in our school. From the bottom my heart as well as my student's thank you. A lot of times students in schools based on poor communities are among the last to adopt new technology. This time we were some of the first in the state to have access to these wonderful products directly in our classrooms.”

  Your donation to our classroom has already made such a huge impact in our daily learning. Because of your generosity we have been able to reach more students with digital based learning programs than ever before. Our students have been able to access more computer based programs. Our students are very excited to use these new devices in the future and these new devices and programs excite them very much.   With your contributions my students have been afforded easy access to new technology and this has impacted their learning in many ways. My students are eager to use these new devices and a lot of times don't even realize they are "learning". We as educators must be creative in meeting the needs of our students.

  With the funding support you generously provided us my students are making great strides in their studies. We have supplemented instruction in so many wonderful ways already this year using programs such as Study Island. We have started various classroom competitions via instructional means that have really helped fuel the fire these children have to learn and succeed in their studies.
