Goodie Bag
Funded Sep 16, 2020Having these packs and supplies has proven to be a game changer for many of my students who I am counseling and supervising. Many of the children who attend our Title I school come to school without basic supplies such as backpacks, clothing, and even a pencil. It's tough to keep buying when the need never ends. But, because of your generosity, I'm able to give so many students a clean and new backpack filled with possibilities for an exciting and fruitful new school year.
Thank you so much for your support of my students and my character building initiatives!”

Supply Savers
Funded Jul 12, 2021Wow - what excitement was in the air when we had our outdoor festival and distributed the backpacks to all those children who qualified for one. Many of my Title I students come from families that just don't have the money for supplies or don't provide the children with all the little extras that they need throughout the school year. With these packs filled with all the little extras we were able to round up, so many children went home with BIG smiles on their faces and hearts that were light.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping make such a positive difference to the students of my school!”

Funded Aug 28, 2020Many of the students who attend our Title I school come without basic supplies like pencils, books, even coats and gloves. Folders, glue sticks and pencils are needed by each student because of all the activities throughout the year. But it adds up and I'm so grateful for the financial assistance.
Because of your generosity, I'm able to help those students in need with these folders, pencils, and glue sticks. Many times when children don't have they feel "less than". This is something that I just cannot let happen. Thanks to you - it won't!”

Financial Wizards in the Making!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Having these fun board games has proven to be a game changer for many of my students who I am counseling and supervising. Board games help de-escalate tensions and they give students a mental "time-out" as they concentrate on moving the pieces down the Monopoly streets! More importantly, for many of my students playing board games help form new bonds and friendships. Children who may not be friends in the classroom will be more inclined to talk things out when their engaged in a board game.
Thank you so much for your support of my students and my character building initiatives!”

Let's Exercise Our Brains and Our Bodies!
Funded Nov 28, 2017Thanks to the brand new basketballs, we were able to start up our boys basketball club for fourth and fifth grade. We are able to have it Friday mornings during zero period to improve our attendance outreach as a positive reinforcement. Then they come seventh period to learn basic fundamental skills and be part of different planned tournaments titled "Fall Ball", "March Madness" and "May Mania" where the winners receive awards. This opportunity brings cooperation over competition. It promotes team-building, teamwork and sportsmanship.
When our students saw the new basketballs, they were excited to dribble, pass to one another, layup and shoot. They were eager to practice their mechanics so they can fulfill their dream of one day making the NBA.
Our next steps for our students is to form a basketball team and hold tryouts based on skill level, attendance and good behavior. We will take field trips and visit other schools and play their team. We will record the games, so we can go into a classroom and watch game film as a form of learning style.”
