Capturing Dancers in Action
Funded Jan 12, 2014Dear Donors,
I use photos constantly to record and document my students work. They are used in projects, for displays, and for evaluation of student progress. Many of the photos are taken by the students.
The ability to print color photos in my classroom and to immediately transfer them to a project or bulletin board has been extremely rewarding for myself as well as my students.
As you can see in the photos I have included, my kindergarten class was presented with a photo documentation of the all of the hard work they put into the assignment of creating a movement animal alphabet. This took several weeks to complete and we received the printer just as we were coming to the end of the unit.
Having the color printer allowed me the freedom to be able to present each student with a finished booklet that enhanced and supported their study in the alphabet and animal identification and abstraction.
The students were thrilled to be able to take home a booklet of their hard work and were excited to fill it out.
I have also included pictures of my bulletin and the different display for each grade that were made possible by having the color printer readily available.
I can't thank you all enough for your generosity and support for my classroom and quality public school education.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Jannetti
