Empowering STEM Education Through 3D Printing
Funded Nov 27, 2024On behalf of my students and myself, I want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation toward our 3-D printers. This technology has transformed our classroom into a space of innovation and hands-on learning, allowing students to bring their ideas to life. Through designing and printing their own projects, they have gained a deeper understanding of engineering, design, and problem-solving—skills that will serve them well in the future.
The excitement in the classroom is undeniable. Students are thrilled to see their digital designs turn into real, tangible objects, and many have embraced the challenge of refining their prototypes to improve functionality.
Your generosity has provided more than just equipment—it has opened doors to creativity, critical thinking, and career exploration. Thank you for making a lasting impact on our students' education and inspiring the next generation of makers and innovators!”

Funded Dec 30, 2019Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I apologize that it took so long to write this thank you. The integration of rechargeable batteries into student projects involving our microscopes made our classroom safer as it eliminated cords and made access to equipment more efficient. Additionally, the rechargeable batteries made our remote-controlled cars able to be used sustainably. It resonated with my students with the heightened emphasis on sustainability and environmental awareness. Students appreciate the diminished waste and environmental impact associated with rechargeable batteries and it makes it less expensive in the long run.
Furthermore, the impact extends to hands-on learning and exploration. The reliability of rechargeable batteries ensures a consistent power source, enabling uninterrupted hands-on engagement with microscopes and remote-controlled cars. Thank you once again for your generosity!”

Funded Dec 4, 2019Thank you for your donation. Your generous donation help purchase shirts for the sports team at our school. We used these shirts to create one of kind shirts with a slogan student athletes were proud to wear all the time.
We modified a slogan we saw on MLB gear called "Whole Squad Ready" with Arsenal colors to showcase our sports teams were ready to play. Kids described the shirts as swaggy and they loved the shirts. It was great because it interested other kids in school and they said they wanted to participate to get a shirt too.
The next steps for our sports teams is to get through the pandemic so we can resume playing sports again. Kids miss being in school and really want to get back to playing sports and going back to normal life again. Thank you for you donation and contributions to Arsenal!”

Funded Aug 18, 2019Thank you for your donation to help provide notebooks and mobile STEAM technology to my classroom. The notebooks are so crucial for helping students to organize science learning and really engage in experiments.
The smART projectors are really fun and allow students to not stress about artistic skills to create awesome science drawings that students excited and proud of their work. Your donation impacts student learning for all my classes in such a positive way and with it will be able to use the smART projectors for years to come.
Thank you so much and I appreciate your contribution to my classroom!”

Funded Aug 2, 2019Thank you for generosity by donating to provide sports gear to my students. Although we haven't used the bags yet because wrestling season hasn't started, we have made good use to the shirts and shorts that were donated. They are so excited for wrestling season and they ask me constantly when it starts because they are pumped up for the MMA practice dummy and to show off their team bags to other schools.
Words cannot express how much your contribution to our school and community means. We look like and feel like a team which you hear with the kids conversations with each other and with their sense of pride to belonging to something is special. I hope that you have a wonderful year and thank you again on behalf of Arsenal middle school and its student-athletes!”

Funded Nov 26, 2018Your generous donation helped tremendously with providing gear needed for our students to be dressed for competition. Words cannot express the gratitude I have on behalf of my students. Not having to worry about practice clothes or what students have to warm-up before games helps so much as a coach.
Students are so excited to see the new clothes and are not afraid to miss practice because they do not have clean clothes. I appreciate your kindness and am thankful people like you are willing to help out. As a teacher and coach, expenses for equipment, clothes, etc add up and it makes it difficult to make every dollar stretch. Thank you so much!!”

Funded Dec 8, 2018Thank you for your generosity by donating to my classroom. With your kindness, you have provided opportunities to my students that have a great impact on their learning. Not only that, it has provided them with a few prizes they can remember for a long time.
Teachers, students, and everyone in school take for granted the need for paper until it comes down to choosing between paper and science supplies. The expense for paper always exists and sometimes school budgets limit how much each teacher can have. With your donation to donors choose, you have eliminated that stress of having to make that decision.
Two students used the paper to create a posters in which they won a district wide contest in which they won a monetary prize for conserving energy. The students do not even realize that the paper they used was from Donors Choose and your donation. Thank you again!”

Funded Aug 10, 2018Thank you for your generous donations! I am so thrilled to have this project funded and so are my student athletes. Being a urban school district has challenges that are sometimes difficult to overcome when it comes to financial support. With your willingness to help support are various sports team here at Pittsburgh Arsenal 6-8, our children are able to participate without hesitation or worry about how they are going to pay for equipment or gear that their more affluent suburban counterparts in the surrounding schools are able to.
With your kindness and financial contribution our children are able to experience the same sport opportunities that everyone should have the chance to if they choose. The shorts, the shoes, and water bottles are necessities that some times growing up you take for granted. Until you actually coach or teach children who experience financial hardship, you have no idea how much impact you truly have. I appreciate the time to read about my school and donations you applied to our project. I wish you all the best.”

Funded Oct 23, 2018Thank you so much for taking the time and money to donate to our classroom project. By having these retractable electric extension cords, we will have a less cluttered and safer classroom to do various activities in which we need electricity. By having them suspended in the air, it will eliminate tripping hazards that often can occur when you have extension cords running from all parts of the room.
My students were fascinated with the way they operate and appreciate the coolness of how these products work. Many of my students wanted to test out how they work and really like how they can retract in seconds essentially causing the cord to disappear.
I appreciate it so much and can't wait to use them year after year and from everything to our microscopes, our solar radiation simulation labs, and having quick access to electrical power without the hassle of untangling and tripping over extension cords littered across the classroom floor.”

Practice Is Necessary for Success!
Funded May 18, 2018Your donation was instrumental in providing shorts our kids can use for both practice, games, and cross country meets. We have used them several times for practice and a few times for cross country meets. It was great to see kids wearing matching uniforms for the first time in years.
My students were super pumped to help unpack the shorts. It was like watching them open a birthday gift with such excitement. It was a moment I won't forget as the smiles they had were contagious.
As we move forward to other sports throughout the year, we will make good use for these shorts for both boys and girls basketball practice as well as in wrestling practice and matches. We truly appreciate your donation and cant thank you enough for your support!”
