Pens & Motivation
Funded Nov 27, 2024Thank you so much for your support!
Through this project my students were able to gain the resources they need to get the work done on a daily basis! The pens and pencils have allowed them to come to class and get straight to work. They don't have to worry about the supplies they need, they just focus on the work and get it done.
Additionally, the reward bin has been a great way to keep the students motivated! It has helped them push through difficult lessons knowing that there is something at the end for them.
Thank you so much!”

Paper, Pens, and Motivation!
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for the contributions that allowed us to reach our goal and fulfill our project! We do the best we can every day to help our students reach their full potential. Our students come from low-income households and it has an affect on their academics and their health. Unfortunately many of our students come to school hungry and that interferes with their ability to focus and get the most out of their time at school! The copy paper made it possible to make sure we can differentiate and have copies of the work for all of our students. It also allowed us to make sure that the students have blank paper if they want to share their artistic skills or write us any letters. The goldfish have been used to help feed the students who come to school hungry. Once they don't have to worry about what they are eating they can put their full focus on their work! Finally, the lollipops motivate the students to go to the next level with their focus and work!”

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Classroom Supporter and one other donor.Powerful Pens and Paper!
Funded Nov 29, 2017Thank you so much for helping to bring these wonderful resources into the Social Studies classroom! We have begun to use all of these different resources in the classroom. Students are now able to annotate in multiple color coded ways, highlight new information they are learning, and differentiate between assignments based on the colored paper it is printed on! This has allowed the students to really figure out what works best for them. In addition to that, the sharpies have been a great way to create more anchor charts for the classroom!
When the students first saw the new materials they were amazed. Just having all of these different colors in the classroom has led to a rise in student engagement. Students can now use highlighters, different colored pens, and differentiate between handouts based on color whenever they need. These tools have allowed the students to become much more focused in class and bring their learning to the next level!
The students have incorporated multiple literacy strategies into the Social Studies classroom and these resources have allowed students to continue to grow with that. We will continue to work in our room to bring history alive through all different types of activities. Also, literacy is having a huge impact on how we learn in the Social Studies room! Thank you again for your contributions!”

Paper, Paper, Paper!
Funded Feb 14, 2017Thank you so much for all of the donations that made it possible for this project to come to fruition. My students were in need of paper in the classroom so that they could have the text in front of them when learning. Many of my students are visual learners and it helps them to see and interact with the text when they are working and learning new things.
All of this paper in the classroom has also helped me differentiate articles and learning activities for the different leveled learners in the classroom. Without all of this paper it would have been impossible to meet the students needs and truly help push them to the next level.
The students were excited to learn about the donation and to know that now there will be enough copies for everyone for the rest of the year. The students like to mark up their papers when they read, highlight, and write down different notes and details about what we are learning in the classroom.
In our classroom we will continue to use this paper in our everyday learning and we will be able to push all of the students learning to the next level.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Healy
