Fundraising Fast Drinks
Funded Sep 1, 2022Thank you so very much for your generous donations to my project. My students aren't even back in the classroom yet to see the realization of your generosity yet, but they already know. The materials that you all helped to provide for will do wonders, financially, for all students as they enter their senior year by helping with their continual fundraising campaign to help pay for all of the "big things" that come with senior year; the senior trip, prom, among many others.
Your donations to their cause will help to lessen the stress of having to worry about being able to participate in the variety of activities planned and allow them to stress about the things that seniors SHOULD be stressing about - college applications, college decisions, what are they wearing to prom, etc.
From the bottom of my heart, and the collective hearts of the Alpha Class of 2023, we thank you once again. Stay tuned to see how everything plays out!!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Heagle

Funded Dec 7, 2020Thank you for your contribution to the senior class at my school. With this year being a bit out of the ordinary, to say the least, knowing that these masks can be used not only as a fundraising item for further senior year activities, but at the same time help others to protect themselves and others from catching/further spreading the threat of COVID-19, these seniors can feel like they have contributed to helping protect their community, while at the same time still being able to participate in some of the things that make senior year...well...senior year!
So it is with profound gratitude that I, on behalf of my students, thank you for your donation. You've made the light at the end of the tunnel of this final semester a little bit brighter.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Heagle
Translators for Test-takers
Funded Mar 1, 2020As a teacher in a school with a high percentage of English Language Learners (ELLs), reading texts in a language that is not their own proves challenging at times. The sole purpose of these translators have proven to be an almost indescribable asset to those students, even more so now as we are in an entirely virtual learning environment, who would have thought that closing the laptop and *gasp* opening a book (what are those anymore?) would be an unexpected treat and a *double gasp* enjoyable experience??
So on behalf of my students, my students who are tired of staring at screens day-in-day-out, I thank you for allowing us as a class to continue to learn, in as close to "the old way" as possible. I thank you further for helping to keep my seniors on the path towards achieving the postsecondary readiness that will prove a crucial component to their future success.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Heagle
Clean and Clear for COVID Learning
Funded Sep 10, 2020I cannot begin to thank everyone for your generous donation to this project. In there trying times, safety has become a paramount concern. Allowing for my students who are coming back into the school building to feel safe and allowing them additional materials to help take their safety into their own hands is already showing my students that they are not alone in their education journey. For my 2021 graduates, your generosity has shown them that there are people in the world, total strangers, that are willing to help others and look out for their fellow citizens.
So from the bottom of my heart, I thank you all again. You have made my job as an educator a little bit easier as we begin a new school year during these trying times.
Stay safe”

Mid Year Supply Update!!
Funded Feb 15, 2019Thank you so very much for supporting this project. The end of senior year is a chaotic time, one of a seeming never-ending array of projects and presentations, all the while preparing for the next phase of life.
With your generous gifts, my students were able to put together a portfolio of their best work from this past year; something that they could be proud of showing to potential scholarship application committees, future professors, and any number of other recipients. They have been hard at work over the last few weeks preparing everything to be able to present to the graduation committee at school. But after a bit of a delay, they are finally done!
I'm using the materials that came from your generous donations, they were able to create professional-looking portfolios that show them to be the scholars that they were meant to be. I know I am grateful for your gifts, as are they.
Again, thank you for your time and generous gifts. This project could not have been accomplished without you.”

After School laptops!!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation for additional laptops for my after school program. The use of technology for test preparation purposes proved to be a great success, as we had an above average pass rate on the Common Core ELA Regents Examination, for both 11th and 12th graders. For some of the 12th graders, the use of technology as a support proved to be the extra push needed to pass the exam and graduate on time with all of their friends/classmates.
So again I thank you. I could not have done this without your support.”

Funded Jan 30, 2017I cannot even begin to put into words my gratitude for your assistance in providing my students with these CLEP exam prep books. With everything that goes into the process of applying for college, to know that they did not have to worry about being able to prepare for an exam that will make their college experience THAT much simpler, this is an invaluable gift from each of you.
Each of the students in this class used the books to prepare to take the Spanish Levels 1 and 2 examination. This seemed like a logical choice as all of these students speak Spanish as a home language, so why not get extra college credit for something they already know? According to the students, they were very appreciative of having been provided the materials to adequately prepare, primarily because the structure of this examination is something very different than what they are accustomed to on state examinations like the Regents exam, Common Core state assessments, and even on the SAT/ACT.
As a result of having these preparatory books at their disposal, as well as having access to the online study guides/practice tests that came with the books, ALL students in the class were able to earn either 6 or 12 college credits that they will be able to transfer to their respective college/university choices for the upcoming fall 2017 semester. There was an awards ceremony held at the school and several of the students were recognized for their outstanding performance on the examination, in addition to their academic achievements.
As I have said previously, I cannot begin to thank you, the anonymous donors, for your contributions to the academic futures of my students. None of you know me, or them, or anything about the school apart from the description in my class profile page, and yet you still took it upon yourself to donate your own valuable resources to those that are less fortunate. For this, I am eternally grateful. Your contribution is a testament to your character and you can look on this and know that you have contributed to what makes America great NOW and how that will continue into the future.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Heagle
