• Creating the Music of the Future

  Let me begin b y once again saying thank you for your amazing generosity and your contribution to the students in my rural Delta school. Your donation will have an impact on my students, not only this year, but for many years to come. Anytime the custodians deliver an Amazon box to my room, my students get as excited as if it were Christmas. They know that something new and exciting has just arrived.

  After a couple days of preparation and play of my own, I finally got out the Sphero Specdrums in class. As I often do, I started nu just letting my students play, experiment and learn. Then we began to the them in a more meaningful way. If no time my students were programming and making music all their own. I have been amazed at what they are creating. This is a great way to cross programming and the arts.”

• Hearing About Financial Literacy

  I would like to once again begin by expressing my overwhelming gratitude to you for your amazing generosity. Your donation will have in impact on many many students in my rural delta school district. My students are always excited whenever an Amazon box arrives, weather it if for their class or not they insist on me opening right then. As it happened, there for three students that I could immediately share the contents of the box with. They were doing their work, but they were having to try to read caption on their screen, as they did not have any headphone. So I game them a pair of earbuds, and they got right to work. I know this grant will make like easer for many of my lower income students.”

• Robots + Good Job = Financial Security

  Let me again begin my expressing my incredible gratitude for the amazing donation to the student in my rural delta school district. I have no doubt that the items that you purchased for my students will have an impact that will last for many, many years to come.

  As soon as the boxes arrived my students were excited to open the box to see what was included. Of course we did that, and they we ready to begin. As soon as I had time to take a look at what we had, my students dug into the robotic kits. This lead to discussion about robotics and careers in robotics. This was my hope.

  From there I was able to guide then on to talk about financial concepts associated with have a good paying job. We will continue these discussions in the weeks to come.”
