PS 119 is an old time institution in a brave new world having just celebrated our 75th anniversary. Walk our halls and hear a mixture of English, Spanish, Bengali, Arabic, and more. We are unique in having provided a robust science program for years, something that many elementary schools have abandoned to focus on state tests. In fact, we are working to upgrade our curriculum with a focus on STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. This coming September we hope to add a dedicated science/ technology lab and would like nothing better than to include a 3D printer in the mix. Our students just love our program and the exposure it gives them to a world of opportunities far beyond their narrow perspective.
