My students are eighth graders who attend a high poverty middle school in California. We are a large middle school of around 1000 students. My students, like most middle school students, are very energetic, and enjoy learning in as many different modalities as possible. I am one of the leaders of our school's Enhancement program. The program allows staff to teach a variety of classes to students in order to allow students a glimpse into the multitude of fun things in the world all without ever having to leave school. Some class offerings include: Chess, Photography, Crochet, Mythology, World Cultures and Customs, and American Sign Language.
