This project had been designed based on student need and interest. My special learners are students who can develop ownership and meaning from hands on activities. Using new tools helps, our learning cross over from peer to peer as everyone cooperatively develops curiosity and critical thinking skills through creative engagement activities instead of relying solely on the teacher. Through this 3 D printing project, students can draw an illustrate ideas on paper with pens and pencils on their desks, or they can begin using filament and computer technology to create personal and touchable / learning models and manipulatives to share in real time. Through this project our learning comes to life for the 21st century and beyond to increase collaborative understanding for both Science and Social Studies.
