My students are solving a lot of real world problems, such as calculating when the value of their jordans will be worth less. They can already calculate that and they get answers like "my shoes will be worth less after, 120 times (.89) to the power of 12, months. Having the scientific calculator will allow them to actually approximate the number of months which would be 29.63 which then they would say something more concrete like " it will take approximately 30 months for my "j's" to be worth less." Calculators will make a great impact on their learning by having a more concrete answer they can compare to. Thank you for supporting!
