My students are creative! They are students who would love the chance to create and learn. They want to make a difference. Yes, they are middle school students and yes, they can be valuable contributors to their class, school and community. My school is not unlike many other middle schools in urban areas. We have a wide range of students from all backgrounds; each with the chance to make a difference for someone else. Students need to be interested and engaged in order to make learning meaningful. The Breakout EDU project will help to develop so many skill sets that are essential to any field of learning (research, experimentation, creativity, and critical thinking it will rekindle their childhood creativity and curiosity. The Breakout EDU kits will be an invaluable tool to help them learn, problem solve and collaborate.
