I share a classroom with 32 enlightening third graders; I am not the only teacher in here because we all learn from one another. It was just the other day that a student noticed that when they turned their cursive practice upside-down, the lowercase cursive "h" resembled an upside-down cursive "y." It is also remarkable how observant they are when they analyze maps in geography and our classroom plant in science. My classroom has a wide range of strengths and interests. Some have an aptitude for art, while others can talk about sports with the stamina of a sportscaster. When it comes to technological literacy, I have students who do not have a personal device and have not developed the same level of familiarity as others. I seek to reduce that gap and at the same time elevate each child's respective abilities with technology.
