Music in PE
Funded Dec 8, 2023Your donations have made a huge impact on the learning experience of my students. The portable speaker allows me to play music during class time which motivates students to try their very best. We also use the speaker to project sound when playing videos on YouTube to introduce a new sport to our students. The FitnessGram Pacer Test will be conducted using the speaker for instructions and music as students run back and forth according to a set cadence. My students were so happy with this new piece of technology and I can't wait to find more ways to incorporate it into my current curriculum.”

PE Tech
Funded May 7, 2022Thank you for your generous donations. The tablet has made it much easier to incorporate technology into Physical Education. I was able to use it to take roll and also eliminate the need to print out paper roster every week. It also allows me to play music and instructional audio during the annual FitnessGram Test. Introducing a new unit to the students is such a joy now because I can look up information online in a matter of seconds. My students benefited from enhanced instruction and achieved better learning outcomes as a result. They were able to record each other during skills execution and analyze it afterwards. This provides instant feedbacks which is essential for students who are in the early stages of development. I will continue to look for innovative ways to use technology in my classroom. Thank you so much!”

Get Fit One Step at a Time!
Funded Feb 11, 2022I decided to kick off Valentine's Day celebration in PE with the introduction of the brand new pedometers. Students have been waiting for them for weeks so they were super excited to finally get to try out the new gadget for PE. The goal for today was to walk as many steps as they can in 20 mins. I can hear the excitement in their voices as they ask one another what the count was on the pedometer.
In the weeks ahead, my plan is to allow students to track their progress over time by creating a journal. Students would record their steps daily and see how much they can improve over the initial baseline test. In addition, students can participate in a friendly competition to see which period has the most steps in a month.”

WATTSFIT: Building a Stronger Generation of Kids
Funded Nov 10, 2021My students were ecstatic when they saw the brand new equipment made possible by your generous donations. They can now work on their cardiovascular fitness and strength using the combination of stationary bikes, rowing machines, and weight equipment. I can hear the excitement in their voices when they ask questions about how to use each piece of equipment or how to work a specific muscle group. The additional equipment also made it much more easier to create teaching stations for small groups instruction. For our next steps, we are planning on inviting parents to our first annual "Fitness Night" where we would showcase our brand new equipment and resources. I think it is a great way to build a positive relationship between school and home. Thank you so much once again for your donations and for giving my students the opportunity to experience the joy of improving their personal health and fitness.”
