    Grace and Peace!

    Many thanks to your donations.

The sets of review materials for the AP Statistics examination made a significant effect on the confidence level of my students as they geared towards the day of the test. The materials came in time (a few weeks before the test) as we were winding down our extensive preparations.

I could not describe the glow on my students faces and even though the results of the test will not be known until about two months from today but I can already tell you that the materials made such a strong impact on my students.

Once again, thank you very much and as we continue to celebrate and value student achievements such as these, we should not forget to extend our appreciation to the people behind the scene, who are ready, willing and able to support these kind of endeavor.

May you continue your giving ways and that you will be granted your hearts desires!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Calungsod

    Greetings of peace and plenty!

If a picture paints a thousand words then the ones we submitted (please see all six pictures) will speak volumes of the joy and gratitude that my students felt when they finally had the chance to use the materials that you help fund.

The external hard drive is very useful for storing the information especially video clips taken from the camera which would otherwise fill up huge amount of space in the hard disk slowing the computer down and eventually crashing. One of the members of the programming group found out, by accident, that he can actually copy and drop the program we are using directly into the external drive thus solving our problem of not being able to access files from different computers not loaded with the said program. The research and documentary team members are having fun with the loads of film clips for scouting and for revising our robot functions and design.

Thank you very much and we hope that you will continue to support our endeavors. And please help us fund our next project: # 504964 Classroom of the Future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Calungsod

Words are not enough to express our profound gratitude for the digital projector that you have donated. As my AP Statistics students embark on the third and final phase of their rigorous preparations for the May examinations, the said tool is a vital teaching instrument to ensure success.

Since I am teaching classes other than AP Statistics, the students are also beneficiary of the said technological tool. Inspired by your generous support for education, the school's administrators are encouraging more teachers to avail of this very uplifting opportunity.

Rest assured that your help will go a long way in our mission to empower the youth and prepare them for the challenges that they might encounter in college.

Once again, thank you and more power to you. May you find success in all your endeavors. ”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Calungsod

My students belong to the lower income bracket: more than 75% are eligible for free or reduced priced lunch. However, this situation did not deter them from excelling in their fields of endeavor. Most of my AP Statistics students are seniors and are ready to face the challenges that college life may bring. All of my students, despite their limitations are graduating with a New York State Advanced Regents diploma. They already passed all their Regents requirements thus, taking college-level courses. The school is predominantly African-American (95%) with some Hispanics. The school is ranked number one in the city in graduation rate 97% and is the number one school in terms of the rating that the city gives.
