• Catch On

  Thank you for supporting the Mater East Girls Football program! As a Title 1 school, we rely heavily on the generosity of supporters of female athletics through great platforms like Donors Choose.

  Since we are a winter sport, some nights can get really cold. Not only do the football gloves help our girls catch better, it also helps to keep their hands a little warmer on those chilly nights. The coordination tools are fun to use at practice, and the girls really do catch better.

• Gear Up More for 2024

  Since we are a winter sport, some nights can get really cold. The jackets and sweatshirts look awesome, and help keep the girls warm on the sidelines. Walking through the hallways, everyone knows what girls are on the team with our warmups and the girls feel good which in turn helps them play better!

• Warm Hands

  Thank you for supporting the Mater East Girls Football program! As a Title 1 school, we rely heavily on the generosity of supporters of female athletics through great platforms like Donors Choose.

  Since we are a winter sport, some nights can get really cold. These electronic handwarmers work really well, and the girls are excited to have them (especially our quarterback!). It gives them something to look forward to when they come to the sideline.

  The play call wristbands help increase the efficiency of our offense to not overwhelm them.

• Protect Our Knights!

  I apologize that this thank you note is so late, I lost track of it in all the excitement of getting our first boys tackle football team locked and loaded with everything we needed!

  But nonetheless, thank you so much for your support and helping us fund such a large project. The boys football team has been getting better and better every year, and I hope you've been able to watch them grow and share in their successes. • Mental Health Break

  Thank you for seeing the value in supporting the mental health of students in school! We are so excited to be able to bring this ipad into our office and enhance and expand the services we offer.

  Mental health concerns among young people keep growing. They are experiencing more and more anxiety and depression and unsure of how to cope. While this ipad won't cure everything that happens in a students life, it will go allow us to do just that little bit more for our students and I know they will appreciate that.”

• Next Generation

  Thank you! Now all of the players on our new girls flag football team are able to have football gloves as they learn to play this game.

  Girls flag football is not a cheap sport if you want to equip yourself the right way. This is now one less thing my athlete's parents need to worry about getting for their student athletes. And just like most other things in sports, when you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you play good! Being proud of what you're a part of is very important, and it doesn't happen without our community supporters.

• Team Pride

  I always enjoy when I am able to use DonorsChoose to support my teams, but this project was better than most I've done. Not only was I able to get gear and swag for our players to look good in the hallways and on game days, I was also able to get our coaching staff in on it.

  So many people have asked where we got the gear and are telling me how great that it looks. That is a lot of attention that is coming on to our girls flag football program. All publicity is good, and this community platform continues to help me grow and develop a program in ways I otherwise wouldn't be able to do.
