My students are walking closets. Each school day they walk around from room to room carrying all their belongings, because they simply can not afford to buy a combination lock to secure their personal belongings. Between memorizing formulas and writing five paragraph essays, students should not have to worry about if their coats, lunch, and backpacks are safe. It would truly be amazing if this project could be funded for my students can finally feel like they don't have to carry around a closet. It is important for students to feel safe at school and know that they have a personal space where they can call their own.

About my class
