• Reinforcing Our Learning With Digital Resources

  I would like to thank you for your amazingly generous contribution to our classroom project. Technology is fast becoming an integral part of our every day lives as well as a crucial component to our learning process. Students are now asked to engage with technology in the school setting at younger and younger ages. It is important to have access to such technology in the classroom in order to gain basic skills. While my students with special needs have access to school devices such as iPads and the computer lab, it it incredibly beneficial for them to have access to devices in the classroom and the support you have given us by helping to fund this project will ensure that my students gain the skills needed to perform important tasks in the coming school grades such as state wide testing. My students were overjoyed to see our new classroom technology and have been eager to use them every day. We truly appreciate your generosity.”

  I would like to thank you for your generous donation to our classroom project. I am pleased to share with you the amazing things we have created for our classroom using the ink you helped fund for us. Thanks to your donation we were able to purchase a generous amount of printer ink. We have been able to use this ink to print out weekly homework assignments and graphic organizers for our writing. I have also been able to use the ink to print out amazing name labels for student work, common core state standards for our bulletin boards, as well as great images for our Unit theme board which includes visual vocabulary. Thanks to your generous donation, my students have received a more colorful and engaging classroom environment that is greatly appreciated by both students and parents alike.”

  I would like to thank you for your amazing and generous contributions to my professional development project. I have had the desktop computer for a number of months now and have learned new ways to use it to develop and grow my teaching practice. I have used its programs such as PowerPoint to develop vocabulary lessons for my students, I have also used Word to create activities and various other letters to parents. I am also becoming familiar with programs such as Excel which is allowing me the opportunity to develop a digital grade book for my classroom. • Teacher Hoping to Become Tech Savy

  I would like to thank you for your amazing and generous contribution to my professional development project. I have had the iPad for a number of weeks now and have learned so much from this great resource. I have been able to use this device to develop and grow my own teaching practices. I have not only begun using it during my daily lessons and math instruction, but I have also developed fun projects for my students. I have learned to use applications such as iMovie to create fun videos starring my students. I was able to present this fun project to the parents at open house last month. I have also taken this device with me to professional development meetings and have downloaded very useful educations applications for use during lessons. I am excited to continue learning and growing with the use of this device.”

• Special Students Seek Sweeter Sounding Music

  My students were incredibly excited to receive the Jambox wireless speaker provided to us through your generous donations. We immediately incorporated it into our daily routines. The speaker is used throughout the day to signal transitions into new activities, play our morning songs, and to provide the soundtrack to our physical education activities. We also use it when playing digital media on the computer. This has opened many possibilities to us in the classroom. As a teacher, this resource has helped me with classroom management by creating seamless transitions between activities as I can control the device from my phone with no need to leave the small instructional group with which I work . We will continue to enjoy our speaker and develop new uses for it.”

• Making Progress Through Computer Programs

  My students have been working hard learning and progressing through the amazing educational software you helped us receive. They were overjoyed when I presented them with the multiple interactive educational games and were eager to begin using them. We have worked on learning basic computer skills so that the students can access these resources independently. We use these educational games as one of our centers during rotations. Students take turns using the educational games to build on lessons learned in class. This resource has provided my students with exceptionalities much needed practice and review with the help of interactive and engaging software you helped to provide us.”

• Exceptional Students Excel with Technology!

  My students were incredibly excited to receive our amazing new resources. We have been diligently working to learn new computer stills as well as master academic skills through the supplemental education software you helped us receive. I took the time to introduce the students to the computer and software; calling them up two at a time and giving them a tutorial on how to use the computer and navigate the software. They have been making amazing progress. I have begun to use our new computer as an independent work station. The students rotate on the computer throughout the day reinforcing information learned in class as well as building on crucial computer skills. My students have been making great progress in the areas of letter identification, story sequencing and number recognition. These amazing resources have given my students the opportunity to master skills at an independent level through the use of fun, interactive, and engaging resources thanks to your generous donations.”
