My students all have learning disabilities, and they also come from homes that struggle to survive at or below the poverty level. They are the kids who were not able to keep up in the "regular" classroom. They will not be going to college; we are training them to be outstanding employees by the time they graduate in 12th grade. We are a Title I School. Our goal is to produce good citizens and tax payers, not tax burdens. And we are good at it. My students have experienced many failures in their lives, but we try to turn that pattern around and teach them how to be successful. We have a lot of success stories and we are proud of them all.
