This is a class of students with Autism. They are in the mild-to-moderate range and are all quite friendly and looking forward to improving their communication skills. They are in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. The majority are Latino students who come from an urban inner city setting. All of my students participate in the free lunch program and most receive outside services for their handicaps. Fifty percent of my students are also English Language Learners (ELL).
