  • Game On! Empower Students with Engaging Board Games

    The introduction of new board games through our project has significantly enhanced the social and cognitive skills of my students in our after-school program. Games like Star Realms and Marvel Champions have not only provided them with a fun escape but also encouraged teamwork and strategic thinking. One memorable moment was during a session where students worked together to formulate strategies for winning in Marvel Champions. As they discussed their options, I observed them growing more confident in their ability to make decisions and communicate effectively with their peers.

    When the students first saw the new games, their excitement was palpable. They eagerly gathered around the tables, eyes wide with anticipation as they explored the colorful boxes and intricate game pieces. The energy in the room was electric, and within moments, they were engaged in friendly competitions and laughter, bonding over their shared experiences. Moving forward, the next steps for my students involve organizing a mini-tournament with the various games, allowing them to build upon their skills in strategy, patience, and sportsmanship. This initiative not only deepens their engagement but also fosters a sense of community among them, making our after-school program a vibrant and inclusive space for social interaction and learning.”

  • Mr. A's Strategy Gaming Club

    First of all, I would like to thank you for your generosity in donating to our project. We are thankful for what you have done. These materials help with my after school project creating our strategy club. We meet every week and play these games.

    These games promote critical thinking skills as well as social skills. There has been a huge improvement in both areas for my students and their grades has also reflected this. These games gives my student confidence in themselves and there decisions.

    There were so excited when the package came in for this project. It was great to see the students smiling. Many of my students were impacted harshly from the Covid-19 epidemic and having them forget their worries was a blessing. Thank you once again for your help and generosity.”

  • Finance Never Sounded So Sweet!

    I am so grateful for this donation. This has made such a huge impact in my class. Many of the interactive lessons that I have available via the computer requires headphones. This allows students to study and work at their own pace without having to worry about how far ahead others may be.

    For students who are English learners, this has allowed them to learn the content in their original language and apply the knowledge in the English simulator. For many of them, this has allowed them to build confidence that they can understand the content and use it in their daily lives.

  • Monopoly Accounting

    Thank you so much for your generosity. We have been working on our class project using the Monopolies that we have received. Each student is currently representing a real estate company buying and selling properties. Each student is learning about debits and credits at the present time.

    It was great to see the students reaction as they opened each game and start playing. Its great to see them have fun and at the same time learn accounting concepts. They are taking special care of each game by making sure each copy has every component in tack.

    As I mention earlier, the students are working on debits and credit. They will be learning journalizing in the next couple of days. Thanks again for helping my kids prepare for their future.”

  • The Sound of Education!

    I cannot express my gratitude enough for your donation. It has made a huge impact in my class. Many of my students are English learners and as a finance teacher it is challenging to translate the curriculum. It has also been a blessing for my other students who can work on lessons at their own pace. I have supplemental lessons to enrich the lessons I teach and its video and audio base. The headphones make a great fit for the class.

    The headphones have a great sound to them and are durable for the class. The class is pleased with the quality of the headphones and the ability it has to drown out outer sounds and distractions. They have been so appreciative of the donation that they have been extremely careful with them and have been very careful on how they use them.

    My English learning student who came here from Puerto Rico due to hurricane Maria are especially grateful for the headphones. Many of my lessons are bilingual and have been extremely helpful. Once again thank you for your donation.”

  • Mr. A's Gamers Unplugged Table Top Group

    There are not enough words available to describe the impact that you have had on my students with your generosity. I want to take this time and thank you from the bottom of my heart. The excited on my students faces as the boxes of items arrived was priceless.

    Since receiving the games our numbers have increase. In our last group had a total of 37 students. These students are using critical thinking and social skills to learn the games and to use strategy while at the same time getting along with others. The impact of the games and the club has led to high attendance in my class. The students are also benefiting from reading and following complex rules. This has increase their reading comprehension.

  • The Sound of Finance

    First of all I want to thank you for helping our classroom improve. We have put those headphones to work since day one. It has become of great help for students who work on a different pace from others. Students can now tailor their online assignments and not have to worry about hurrying up or slowing down.

    My students are happy to have these headphones. They were excited to know that this year they can finally learn at their own pace. I have many software programs and instructional videos that will tailor each students learning and with these headphones I can even teach the lesson in a different language.

    I am truly grateful for your contribution to our class and because of this gesture, my classroom participation and classroom grades has improved. This year I have a couple of students who have trouble speaking English. These headphones has made life easier on the students and me.”

I have introduce DECA a business club which has inspired many of my students to continue their education in the business field. This past year they competed for the first time and I have to say they did great. I've notice a change in their attitude and self confidence. My students have great potential and with a little help they will have great futures.
