The materials requested are compatible with the iPad tablets and Apple TV currently in my classroom, and they will be used immediately upon arrival at our school. Students will be engaged in Osmo activities that merge physical manipulation of materials with the advantages of digital interaction and real-time feedback. Osmo activities are designed for ages 5-12 and encourages collaboration among students. STEAM activities included in the Osmo Genius Kit are Newton (Engineering), Masterpiece (Art), Tangram (Shapes and Mathematical Ratios), Numbers (Solve Problems) and Words (Spelling). With Osmo Coding Jam, students will use physical coding blocks to create music.
Donations to this project will help bring a 21st Century approach to education at our school through STEAM activities.
The Osmo kits and games will help me design effective educational lessons that cross curricular boundaries by incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Students will be actively engaged in fun activities where they can work independently and collaboratively while using modern technology to improve academic achievement.
