I have such amazing students! They attend Poe Middle School in Virginia. At our school we have a population of 62% of our students who receive free or reduced lunch. Unfortunately the majority of my students fall within that population. They come to school so eager to learn every day, but they worry about having even the right supplies once my supplies have run out. The students that I teach are students with Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities and Autism. When they come to school and worry about not having the right supplies, they have a hard time concentrating during school because they fixate on the problem at hand. They are so capable of achieving great things and I want to make sure that even the littlest thing does not stand in their way.
