I have a class of 5 year old students with special needs ranging from autism to ADHD. They are brilliant students with an enormous appetite for learning. They learn best when they can be active, get messy, and really embrace an activity. They also have difficulty challenging this energy when the activity is not as hands on as they'd like. Our school is located in an inner city, is public, has about 350 students, serves mainly bilingual and low income students, and is full of dedicated teachers and families who highly value education.
