Wiggle and Wobble
Funded May 12, 2023We cannot thank you enough for your generosity. We love the stools and the wobble feet cushions. The students definitely prefer the stools over the chairs.
The foot cushions have an added benefit, they help the student's bodies stay forward and busy. They have just enough give to them that they help the students with frigidity feet.
The stool are perfect. They are adjustable so they can grow with students and all sizes can be accommodated for. There is just enough tilt to the bottom of the stool for the kids to move around without falling over. Plus, the colors liven up the classroom.
The stability disk cushions are a life saver to send to the classroom with some students. In most of the general education classrooms there are only the standard chairs. These
disks give the students enough movement to help them keep engaged in activities.
Added bonus is the stools and disks are helping develop stronger core muscles! Thank you all so much for your generosity.”

Funded Oct 17, 2019We cannot thank you enough for your generosity. We love to learn while playing. We play games on Fridays and love to play the Allowance Game and Pop to Win for math. The Allowance Game really makes learning about money more meaningful.
The magnetic maze is a hit. It helps so much with fine motor skills and also with patience. Magnets in general are very popular in our classroom. One student of ours loves finding out what will "stick" to a magnet. He loves the maze and really benefits from manipulating the ball through the maze.
The Splish Splash sight words game makes sight words so much better to learn from then flash cards. Our beginning reader likes to try to collect more words then his partner. Before we got the game practicing our sight words on flash cards was like pulling teeth. All these games have really helped our class learn by playing. Thank you all so much!”

Sensory Time Out
Funded Oct 3, 2019Thank you so very much for the beanbags, beanbag fill and soft saucer chairs. The students love the new seating. We have the seating in a little room off of our classroom (approx. 10'x10'). The seats get used regularly every day during silent reading. Also, it is now a comfortable place for those needing a chill out space to take a sensory time out.
When we got the boxed from Amazon we had fun guessing what could be inside. The beanbag box was huge. The box in and of itself was fun. One boy used it to pretend to be a Jack in the Box! It later became a fort, then a house before being recycled. Prior we were given a beanbag and after using the fill we discovered it wasn't a round beanbag, but a beanbag chair. Every time a new seat came in there was a big discussion on turn taking and fairness.
With your generous contributions you have help make our classroom environment greater. Having a developmental delayed/autism classroom, one is never quite sure what is going to be a hit with a student and what is going to be a colossal fail. Having options and giving students a choice especially with their seating is one giant step to ensure that learning can take place.”
