This has built a sense of conscience and safety in our classroom that became part of our daily routine. It allows students to feel safe and enjoy the interacting with one another as they prepare equipment, materials for hands-on Labs.

This has also minimized the anxiety that students sometimes felt because they themselves questioned how will safety be supported in the prevention of the spread of germs in the class.

The class has done 2 of the labs received as they are incorporated as the students gain knowledge through the exposure of context and extended through the experiments.

Ms. Gomez' 10th Grade students are thankful to have been exposed to the AP curriculum in connection to the labs received by the Donors that participate in Donor Choose for the first time ever in our school history!

  • Specialized Student Centered Learning

    Funded Oct 30, 2019

Through the use of this Dell Surface tablet:

Students now have a voice to demonstrate what they can do and also be able to critique each other without the necessity to move to the center/front of the room which has lowered their anxiety levels and raised their level of confidence.

Students have commented how great it is to see their work creations exposed on the board for all to see as it is happening, this allows for genuine discussion between students. This takes the attention from the teacher and places the ownership on the students as they are now the pioneers of their own learning curve.

Students are more excited than ever to demonstrate their various levels of Mastery without being afraid to make a mistake in doing so.”
