My second-grade students are excited to come to school because learning is a fun adventure! Through the support of donors on Donors Choose, I have been able to create a student friendly room full of engaging activities. My students love using technology in the classroom. Kids need early experiences with digital citizenship, mouse control, windows navigation, and keyboard practice in order to be successful in a computer driven society. I utilize technology while teaching content standards lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. I teach my students to have a growth mindset and a positive attitude towards success and mistakes. They learn that mistakes are opportunities for practice. I am proud of my students for all they achieve in second-grade. It is truly a privilege to be a teacher!
