My 26 second graders are located in a low social economical area. Most of their parents are hard working, but barely making it. Most of my students live in crowded apartments or homes. My students try hard to learn even though they are English learners. Although they have a rough life, they still find joy when a butterfly floats by or they stop to smell a flower.
