• Hygiene Products Restock!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation of hygiene products for our classroom! The students absolutely love our self-care cabinet, full of the supplies you so graciously provided. "Self care time" has become their favorite part of our daily schedule after lunch.

  They eagerly brush their teeth, clean their faces, sanitize, and apply lotion, and I'm thrilled to see how it has positively impacted their health and personal hygiene habits. Our class has amazing attendance this year as our self care has helped students remain healthy all year round. Parents have even shared that self-care at home has become a breeze!

  Thank you so much for helping us provide our students with the tools that they need to fulfill their sensory needs! These tools have made it possible for our students to learn about emotional regulation through sensory integration.

  Access to sensory tools like kinetic sand, "fidgets," and noise cancelling headphones have made all the difference in our scholar's ability to self-regulate. This is not only an important life skill, but has also helped them to focus on their academic learning as well!

• Lunar New Year Art Supplies

The lantern festival is a beautiful tradition, and we were so grateful to be able to make lanterns with the supplies you provided so that we could have our own little celebration in South Philly. The kids were so proud of the final products, so we hung them up outside our classroom for the whole school to enjoy!

• STEM Aquarium Supplies

  Thank you so much for donating to our classroom STEM project, and class pet- our aquarium! Our aquarium, and our pet betta fish Bingo, is truly a beloved centerpiece of our classroom.

  With the supplies you provided, our kids were able to learn about aquatic environments through caring for our betta fish. It has been so much fun for all of us to create this little ecosystem right in our classroom in South Philly. We have tied our aquarium into so many projects throughout the year including; testing the water quality, learned about elections through voting on our fish name, graphed fish name election results, made several aquatic-theme art pieces, and so much more!

  This aquarium has brought so much joy to our classroom, and we could not have done it without you! Thank you for making our dreams a reality!”

• Cleaning Wipes

  It is hard to describe the impact this project has had in our classroom, as it has truly made all the difference! Our "self care cabinet" (we believe caring for your environment is an important part of self care!) has become a staple in our classroom, and is fully stocked because of you!

  Our kids love having classroom jobs, and one of the most popular jobs is handing out our sanitizing wipes, and cleaning our tables (it's the little things)! This has helped our scholars learn about keeping a clean workspace, and given them a sense of responsibility for caring for the supplies and materials we all share. It has also helped us prevent illness, which keeps our kids happy, healthy, and in school each day!

  In our life skills classroom, helping our kids achieve independence is a cornerstone of what we do each day. Teaching them to care for their environment independently is something I truly could not have without your generous donation to this project. Thank you for making our dreams a reality!”
