2017-2018 is my 4th year as a teacher at Brooks College Prep, and my 2nd year as a teacher in Brooks' Academic Center (AC), serving 7th and 8th graders. In the 4 years I have been here, I have been part of hard, but extremely worthwhile projects to improve our school and the education we provide our students. We are well into the transition to Personalized Learning and Standards Based Grading, structures that greatly improve learning opportunities for students and performance indicators for students, families and teachers. My students are high achievers who come to Brooks to reach and extend their full potential. One of the ways my classroom is uniquely suited to help students is the new furniture I have received, including movable desks and chairs, individual white boards, and a full set of chromebooks. Things we still need are extra calculators, dry-erase markers and erasers!
