Charging Station
Funded Nov 13, 2024Our class is so grateful for the iPad charging stations in our classroom.
I am able to charge multiple iPads in one primary space at the same time. Thanks to this donation, we don't have cords all over the classroom. The iPads all charge in one spot.
All students are able to have a fully charged iPad daily without the hassle of having iPads die of low battery during a lesson.
The students are all logging on to our Math app daily and are beginning to learn our Reading app as well. They are all mastering logging on and finding their lessons online. The best part of the lessons is that they are specifically designed for each individual student. Therefore students work at their own pace and practice skills they need to work on.”

Funded Oct 18, 2023I am always amazed by the generosity of others, especially when it comes to supporting my classroom and students. Thank you for taking the time to view my project and donate to our classroom. My students and I are forever grateful.
Learning encompasses many modalities in this modern day world and technology is one of those modes. Our school is fortunate that all Kinder students are supplied with an iPad to use. We use them in the classroom on a daily basis. Students log into apps that are designed to enhance their learning of Math and Language Arts. These apps are geared to each individual student. Therefore each student gets to practice skills at their individual level. This is one way we are able to differentiate learning for all students.
Imagine 24 students all on iPads, learning at the same time with volume on. That would be very noisy and distracting. The headphones make it possible for everyone to be on at once and not be distracted. The students are enjoying this learning time and are making progress as well.”

Funded Oct 16, 2019My deepest, heartfelt thanks for such a generous donation to our classroom. The classroom library and ipad are having a wonderful impact on the students as well as myself.
I finally feel that I have a complete classroom library for my grade level. All levels that my students are currently reading at are represented with a variety of books to choose from. Students now have more of a selection when checking out a book from our class library. This is especially true for my students reading below grade level.
The ipad has been useful for myself throughout the school day. I am able to use it with my projector to display something on the board. It has been a very useful tool in assessing students. There are a few reading assessments we conduct throughout the year that a touch pad is far more efficient then a laptop or desktop. I have been able to use the ipad for this, and it was wonderful. Once I am done assessing, the students will have access to five ipads which we rotate at school and the sixth from our class ipad. Six is better than five, and for that we are grateful.”

Funded Nov 1, 2017Our class is so grateful for the wonderful items we received from this project. The students were so excited when the boxes were delivered to our classroom. We use the pencil sharpener daily and it is so convenient to have one in the classroom so that I do not have to take all the pencils at one time to the workroom. We definitely use our stereo daily when we do our morning warm-up to interactive music. Now, our CD doesn't stop in the middle of a song, which is a great plus. The book stand has really helped to capture student's attention when we read stories together. The big books fit nicely. It also looks nice in our room.
I am loving the teacher organizer bins. They have made it so easy for me to organize all of the materials needed by subject and I have enough room to have it ready for the whole week. The magnetic holder is great for markers and my new apron is very handy. Even other teachers have commented that they like my new apron. I show them all our materials with pride.
It's nice to know that others value the work we are doing and I give you many thanks.”

Interactive Lessons, Typing and Test Ready
Funded Oct 9, 2015Words cannot express how excited my students and I were when we began to receive our new technology in the classroom. It's always great to get gifts but I believe even more so knowing it was donated by such generous people recognizing a good cause.
As adults, we take for granted our use of technology since most of us use it daily and it is like second nature. For many of my students, this is a new experience. They have had the opportunity to take our first interim state testing on-line and by the end of the week, they were becoming familiar with the keyboard and how to navigate. I feel confident that by the end of the school year they will be comfortable and familiar with the keyboard and begin to type at a faster pace.
We received our technology at a perfect time for this reason and that it goes along with our current Language Arts unit in which we are learning about ways that people communicate and how people use technology to do this. The students have a better understanding by seeing the actual technology in person and not just reading about it.
We have also just begun a research project and together are conducting research on a topic together. I am able to model how to do this using the laptop and connecting it to the projector. The students are captivated in this and will transfer this learning to begin researching a topic of their choice. They will also be able to type and print out their final paper.
I am especially thankful for the printer. It has made my time far more efficient by being able to print out straight from my computer and not having to do so at home or in the school office. It is very convenient and useful.
We are again very thankful for your generosity in providing our classroom with such useful tools that we are able to learn from.”

Mrs. Flores
21st Century Technology in 3rd Grade
Funded Sep 15, 2014Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I first just want you all to know how much you've touched my heart and made me feel so supported. I am truly dedicated to my job and to have friends, family, students' families and strangers give to our class reassures me that I am doing what I should be doing with my life and you've helped to enhance what I do daily. I was so excited to share the news with our class (Team 23) that our project had funded and they were beyond ecstatic. They couldn't wait until we would get the materials. Each day we received a box in the mail was like Christmas morning. We opened everything together and they oohed and clapped for each piece. They commented on how it was fancy and looked expensive and we discussed how working together, we were able to afford a piece of technology and how we should take care of and cherish it.
We have been so used to not having this wonderful tool that is has been an adjustment to getting used to using it. We use it for every subject at different times of the day. It is great for the students to get to see their work displayed on the screen and then easily switch to another student's work without having to erase or move things. The students come to the board or write on the paper to share something or point to their ideas.
This technology has enhanced my teaching tremendously. It saves time and ultimately captures their attention so easily. They look forward to dimming the lights and looking at the screen. It creates a calm atmosphere where we're all focused on the same thing. We are all so grateful and will continue to work hard this year and reach all of our learning goals together.”

Mrs. Flores
