  • A Lesson In Civil Rights

    Thank you so much for the generous gift of literature for my students. We read the story of Ruby Bridges during Black History Month this year and the students learned a lot. Many of them had never heard of the Civil Rights Movement. I will use these books to reinforce the story and for many years to come with my fifth grade students.   • Roll of Thunder - Books for My 5th Graders

    I am so excited! This my first experience with Donor's Choose and I wasn't really expecting to hear anything so quickly. I wanted to read Roll of Thunder with my students in October and I was beginning to get discouraged about how this would happen. Scholastic Super Science Magazine has been a high quality resource for providing science content for my students. They are able to access the materials digitally and in print. Students will have articles, video, and activities every month to help keep them engaged for both in-person and remote learning. Thank you helping to satisfy my students' curiosity in science!
