• Solving Our Way Through ABC's, 123's and Categorization

  Thanks to the support of the Donors Choose community I can provide a learning manipulatives that will allow my students to interact with letters and numbers physically. This year 100% of the children in my classroom are at risk and low income. Many of them have language barriers learning English as a second language. These interactive materials will allow my students to become kinesthetically engaged with their surroundings and excite them about learning vocabulary words and simple arithmetic.

  I am grateful that I can continue collaborating with donors like you to introduce tricky subjects to my students in ways that will engage them and prompt their interest in education. Together we can continue making a difference in public schools.”

• Design, Create, Engage With a Cricut in Pre-k

  Funded Apr 13, 2023

  Being able to obtain the Cricut for my class room as well as the materials have made it so much easier, efficient and cost effective to create items for the classroom. I have been able to create labels for the classroom, stations and for items for the students allowing me to enrich their environment promoting their success and independence in their learning experience. We have created T-shirts for multiple events without having to outsource and needing to ask the parents for more financial support.

• A Long-lasting and Inviting Place to Learn in Pre-K

  Funded Dec 15, 2022

  Because of your generosity, my students now have access to long-lasting re-useable learning materials that I can create using the laminator and pouches you have provided. My students now can manipulate and write on printed materials that can be cleaned and passed to the next, students reducing waste and encouraging them to practice as often as they need without having to use multiple pages.

  The magic boards also bring novel excitement to my students who are in awe that they can simply make their writing disappear and go on to write or draw something else immediately without having to look for a fresh piece of paper.

This color printer has helped me create more visually engaging instruction sheets that help to engage my students and give them a stronger sense of independence while building their drive to be self-sufficient.   My students now have access to a Letter Construction Activity Set, Translucent Letters, Uppercase and Lowercase Alphabet Pebbles, Learning Resources Smart Snacks Alpha Pops, Alphabet Matching and Fine Motor Skills Toys. This is all introduced to them through small group and independent work stations.

  Students are now able to learn with a better hands-on experience and are more involved and engaged in activities. With your help, I have been able to provide these materials to my students and reinforce their learning experience.
