Graphing Notebooks
Funded Dec 19, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. We really appreciate you donating the graphic notebooks to our math classroom. These graphing notebooks have been a lifesaver in our class. When I handed them out my students were so excited that they were all getting a new notebook. When they opened the notebook and saw that it was graph paper they were even more excited. They no longer have to redo their work because they lost track of their graph paper they did it on. Our class is also a lot cleaner because we don't have random pieces of grass paper falling on the floor. We use the notebooks for equations, graphs charts, diagrams and for solving problems. My students love how easy it is to create their graphs and charts without having to create the lines or use a ruler. Thank you again for your contribution to our classroom. We really appreciate your kindness.”

Funded Oct 18, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity! My students were so excited when they saw all of the boxes that we received. They helped me unpack the items and their eyes lit up when they saw all the math manipulatives. They can not wait to use the cubes in our next unit geometry. This unit, they were able to use the dry erase number charts. They begged me to let them use them on their test to try it out before writing the answer. They were so excited to use these charts and can not wait to use all the other manipulatives. We are now able to stream their work to the smart board from the Apple TV. They all love showing their work and are now experts at streaming to the smart board. Lastly, thank you for the rolling cart. It makes it easier for me to bring the manipulatives from class to class. So all of my students can use them. Thank you again for everything. We really appreciate it.”

Funded Aug 22, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classroom! My students are so incredibly lucky that there are people like you in this world and during these hard times that they can still receive supplies and resources that are going to help them with their education! By having access to an abundance of resources that are necessary to aid learning, you are helping my classroom to grow and thrive because we have multiple entry points for learning. Children learn in different ways so having the ability to write on our iPad to solve math problems is extremely helpful to my student's. They use it to show each other how they solved a problem or work through a problem themselves. thank you again!”

iPad for Educational Success!
Funded Apr 8, 2021Thank you so much for the supplies. My students are about a 50/50 split between remote and in person. It was hard to have a class meeting at the same time as having students sitting in my class in person. By having this iPad, I was able to help remote students while also working with the students in the classroom. I was also able to project what I was doing directly onto google classroom while still having access to the google meeting and being able to see all students! This iPad also helped me to check work while I am on my meetings and allowed me to multitask to help as many students as possible. We appreciate everything you do to help our school. We are extremely grateful.”

Snacks 4 Us!
Funded Apr 8, 2021The snacks were a hit! We were told last minute that our students had to take the state tests this year. My kids were panicking when they arrived die the test. You could see how upset and worried they were as they walked into the hallway until they turned the corner and saw me with my cart of snacks. A smile came across their face when I told them they can have as much as they want. The entire school want to thank you for helping this crazy day 100% better. Once they had their snacks and were seated at their desks they looked calm and was ready to take the tests. During the midday lunch I came back around with my cart of goodies to give more snacks to the students. On behalf of all of my students and the staff at my school thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness and generosity means everything to us.”

Ink All Around
Funded Feb 26, 2021My students and myself are extremely grateful for the ink replacement. My students loved that they could print in color and started to print out name tags for their supplies. They also printed out their work so they can bring it home to show their parents and printed pictures of their families to make our classroom feel more inviting and like their second home. I was able to print out discussion cards in color and hang them in our classroom. This not only helps students when we are having in class discussions but it is now visually pleasing since it is no longer in black and white. Lastly, we were able to print and hang up our Black History Month projects. Thank you so much for helping us make our classroom look more like a learning environment.”

Funded Oct 30, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! My students are going to be so excited when we return to school in the new year and have these supplies to use! It has been a very difficult school year and they appreciate anything that helps them to learn! Each of my students were able to get their own set of headphones so they can use to watch videos, participate in Google meetings and go on I-Ready. They also have their own personalized hand sanitizer and care packages that are necessary for a post Covid world. Before they leave, they all use the sanitizer so they can sanitize their belongings. This has made my students feel comfortable when they are in school. This helps them focus on their schoolwork and not have to be in constant fear that they will get Covid.
One of my students cried when he learned that he was going to get an entire hand sanitizer for himself. He lives with his grandmother at home and is extremely scared of passing on germs to her. The other students were appreciative as well. As a classroom we all want to express our extreme gratitude for all you have given us. These items will help us stay safe as well as help further my students education. We hope you have a safe and healthy new year.”

Funded Nov 11, 2019I feel like a thank you is not enough for the generosity you gave to my students. Because of Covid-19 my school was rapidly shut down and we started distance learning. My students had zero interest in reading, they said all books were boring and some stated that reading put them to sleep. Before school let out we were on chapter 2 of Harry Potter. Each student had his or her own copy and started to become more interested in it. Now that we are under quarantine these books mean more to my students than they did before. They are extremely excited to come onto our discussion groups to talk about the next chapter in the book. I can see that their love for reading has changed substantially. Every week we read a chapter, then as a class we have a discussion and answer questions based on what they read. They are already asking me if we will be able to read the next book. In this time of uncertainty and hardship you gave my students something to hold onto. Something to be excited about and I am extremely grateful.”

Learning Up Close
Funded Nov 9, 2019Thank you so much for sending us a document camera. In my special education classroom, my students often struggle with annotating a text, breaking apart a question and listening to directions. In the beginning of the year I would have to go student by student to show them how to do something, instead of being able to reach the entire class at one. Being able to explain something to my students as a group instead of individually freed up time for me to help them one on one with their understanding of the topic. The document camera changed the way my classroom ran. I was able to annotate live on the text so my students could understand why I would annotate a specific section of a text and what it looked like. I was also able to write the instructions for the day and edit it in real time.
My students loved using the document camera and being able to be the teacher for the day. The students would use the document camera to show their classmates a new strategy they learned. I would have the students that mastered a topic teach a group of students who were confused. This allowed me to conference with my students one on one.
Now that schools are closed this document camera is needed more than ever before. I connect the camera and record specific things I want my students to learn. Then they are able to watch the video at home as much as they would like. This really is an amazing resources and we are so blessed to have it for our classroom. Thank you for being extremely kind and generous.”
