  • The End Is in Sight!

    Funded Apr 16, 2023

Thank you for making the end of our school year bright and colorful! We had fun making gifts for Moms, Dads and other important adults in our lives. Pretty paper makes everything look amazing! We made flowers, cards, and rings and many other things. We even made gifts for our cafeteria staff, office staff, our school nurse, PE teacher, music teacher, and custodians! Everyone received a flower and and a card...or two!

The power strips helped us keep our robots charged but also provided an unexpected blessing on our GLOW Day when we needed to plug in 11 different black lights!

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coward

  • Phoneme Awareness

    Funded Oct 7, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting oar phoneme awareness project. Your contribution has made a positive impact ae we travel on the path to becoming successful readers. With the mirror sets, we can look at the card to see how our miu rf fhs should look while practicing in the mirror. This has really helped us hear and recognize those confusing short vowel sounds.

The ink has been used mainly to print books for us to read practicing the sounds we gave learned. We get a new book printed each week so that sellers our ink supply quickly.

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

  • Raising Readers Part 1

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you for supporting our project for decodable readers. Having the books that go with our Letterland program will be a lifesaver! No longer will we have to search for readers that contain the combination of sounds we are teaching. The photos are bright and colorful. The text is easy to use. Letterland just added these and I am thrilled to be able to begin next year with them. Having six copies of each reader will be perfect for using in my small groups.

Thank you again for supporting students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

  • Kindergarten Krafts

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you for supporting our Kindergarten Krafts project. The Santa hats and Christmas headbands were a huge hit when we went Christmas caroling in other classrooms in our school. When the 4K students visited our classroom, we even had enough to let them borrow some!

The different ribbons were used in various craft projects we made. We were able to make gifts for our adult caregivers, other kindergarten teachers on our hall, the cafeteria staff, the office staff, and the special area teachers in our school. The bags were used to deliver our gifts.

  • Glowing With Success Part 2

    Funded May 16, 2023

    Oh my!

I'm not sure who enjoyed the Glow Party more- me or my students! Lol it was the perfect way to commemorate our progress this school year. Every student worked hard and met at least one of their three target goals for the school year. Many met all three! The fedoras, bracelets, and rings were great but the highlight was playing the math and ELA games on the Promethean Board. the black lights and tarps related to the perfect setting. The gloves added just 5ge right touch!

The Kleenex and Lysol wipes will help us start out next year on a healthy path!

  • ❤️ We Have Heart! ❤️

    Funded Dec 31, 2022

Thank you for supporting our project for craft materials. With your help, we were able to make gifts for our local nursing home. The director sent us photos that melted our hearts. We were also able to make gifts for our adult caregivers, office staff, and cafeteria workers. The students took great pride in delivering the gifts around our school. It was fun to watch how the recipients interacted with the students. The students loved being the "givers."

  • Never Enough...

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our book project. The pendulum in teaching reading has made another swing. A few years ago guided reading with leveled readers was THE way to teach reading. Now the focus has shifted to using only decodable readers. These dependable readers are the perfect complement to our new reading series that follows The Science of Reading. The author even made sure that the books I ordered were the ones I would need for the beginning of the year.

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

  • Sight Word Frenzy

    Funded Dec 5, 2022

With your help, my students are making tremendous progress toward learning their sight words. Having a variety of books, games and flashcards using these words. TpT offers the perfect activities that keep my students engaged no matter what level they are on.

The bells were a huge hit when we went Christmas caroling to the other classrooms. We even asked some of the other students to join in. Then other classes asked to borrow them. Of course we shared. After all, that's a key lesson in kindergarten!

Thank you again for supporting kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”

  • Mirror, Mirror, Help Me Learn to Read!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for the mirrors. Being able to watch our mouths to make sounds has helped us become better readers. Seeing how to position how teeth, tongues and lips when making sounds has made a tremendous difference in making our sounds correctly. Mrs. Coward has learned how important for us to watch her make the sounds then use the mirrors as we mimic her. Of course, making silly faces in the mirrors is a ton of fun too! (Just don't tell Mrs. Coward!)

Thank you again for reaching out to support kindergarten students in rural South Carolina. As always, you ROCK!”
