• Spare Change of Clothes

  Thank you so much for helping us replenish your clothing closest. Our closest was nearly empty and what was left was used clothing that wasn't in the best condition. It is a blessing to have extra clothing when spills or bathroom accidents happen. Parents appreciate not having to stop and come to school to bring extra clothing. The clothes are so nice, clean and colorful that the students do not mind wearing them and some even ask to keep them!

• Clip It!

  Thank you so much for the alphabet fine motor clips and the Kleenex! Both have been well used and loved this year!

  When my students were learning to write their names. we used the letter clips to match the letters in their names. then we moved on the matching letters. Next was putting the letters of the alphabet in the correct order. Now we are using them to sound out words. They are perfect for activities all year long!

  Kleenex are always a blessing in a kindergarten classroom. My students have access whenever needed.

• Bind Us Together

  The data binders have been wonderful. The students live choosing which artifacts to add to their notebooks. Having everything easily accessible for each student is amazing, especially at conference time!

  Nothing brightens our day as much as a 30-Second Dance Party. Each day we have a dance leader who can choose up to five times. Day to launch a "party!" There is even ONE staff member who always manages to find the button each time she enters our classroom.

• Mix It Up! Part 2

  This project was certainly a mix of items that have been a blessing to our classroom during this first semester. Kleenex are used frequently in our classroom. They have helped us from spreading germs. The books were a hit with my students

  We have loved making books with the arc punch. Nothing makes my kindergarten students smile more than holding a bound book that they wrote. Soon we will transition from. writing class books to writing their own books.

  We have also learned numbers thanks to the numbered carpet circles. We use them for lining up.

• Linking Literature and Stem!

  Thank you for much for helping us to get great books that we can link to our STEM activities. We loved Balloons Over Broadway. We got to design our own paper balloons. Then we attached them to our BeeBots and had to figure out how to add code to get them to follow the parade route. It was fun and we learned about coding.

  We also enjoyed making plump and perky turkey disguises. we are looking forward to new December books and STEM challenges.

• Stem Bins

  Thank you so much for supporting our STEM bin projects. Mornings are so much smoother in our classroom now. Upon entering our classroom, students have the option to eat breakfast. Students enter any time from 7:30 until 8:05. Some students choose not to eat. Others eat quickly, while others eat slowly.

  The STEM bins are available for the students to use until 8:05. Having a variety of materials keeps them fun and engaging. All of the materials are hands-on and open ended to allow for creative thinking skills to be used.

• Flexible Seating

  The tractor seats are a huge hit! The students live raking turns using them. The only problem is we need more! Flexible seating does not work for every student but has been a game-changer for other students. Some students just cannot be still! Being allowed to choose a seat that offers limited movement is a blessing. As we plan our move to our new school next year, these chairs are definitely my list!

• Paw Point Rewards

  We love our new reward system. My students receive one Paw Point every time we receive a compliment. Maybe another teacher notices how nicely our line looks when traveling. They may receive a compliment when I pick them up from a special area" class. Someone may give our class a "shout-out" on the afternoon announcements.

  As a class, we set out first goal of 25 Paw Points and we are almost there! We are averaging a compliment every other day so we are trying to improve.

• Mix It Up!

  Thank you so much for donating to our project. The button maker has been a huge it! Students love receiving buttons for reaching their golds, whether it's for reading, math or behavior. students are also having fun creating their own buttons! We had our first "Celebration Walk" yesterday. Students celebrated a skill or achievement they are proud of. Next week, they will be able to design a button to commemorate their first walk.

  The Kleenex have been a huge lifesaver. We use at least a box a week.

• Kindergarten Caddies

  Funded Jun 12, 2023

  Thank you so much for providing my kindergarten students with these amazing caddies. My students are able to keep their crayons, scissors, pencils and glue stick within easy reach on their tables. No more carrying pencil pouches back and forth to their cubbies each day. This is a huge timesaver! Plus it helps prevent the occasional "Oops. I took mine home by mistake!" that seems to happen daily.
