Learning Enhancers
Funded Dec 26, 2014Thank you so much!! As always, I am humbled by your generosity. You have made my job as a teacher so much easier with your donations. Lack of funding has made it difficult to have the necessary materials/supplies that are needed to help maintain a successful classroom. You have given over and over again to students and teachers whom you have not met; however, you simply know that they are in need.
I am humbled by your generosity and my students and I are grateful for what you have done and continue to do. Whenever they see a package they get so excited because they know that they are receive supplies/materials that they would not otherwise have.
We have been making good use of all our new supplies. With such higher demands on teachers this year, work has become quite challenging. Keeping up with all the daily demands of a classroom can be so daunting. Your donations have truly made my life easier and my classroom an even better place than it already is. We truly can't thank you enough for your support and generosity.”

We Need Ink To Print!
Funded Dec 27, 2014My students said to tell you "Thank You!" for your donations. They are so appreciative of what you do. I am always at a loss for words due to your support and generosity.
Due to the fact that so many teachers make request for copies there is a back log that can go beyond two weeks. Having a functional printer with ink to make copies in my classroom has definitely alleviated the stress of waiting and provided me with the ability to create on the spot copies for my students. Having ink for our copy machine has helped us stay on track with testing and assessment and also allowed us to do those really cool student discovered or spur of the moment projects, that they begged us to do. It was such an amazing gift, not only to my classroom but to the rest of my middle school team.
Now my students write informational reports because we are able to print research materials and typed essays for those who do not have access to a printer/computer at home. We have also been able to meet our technology goals by typing and printing essays.
I really don't know what we would have done without your generosity. Thank you!”

Mrs. Trimble
Help! We Need Computers!
Funded Jan 10, 2015We are so appreciative and grateful for the laptops in our classroom. My students were so happy when they learned that they will be having access to laptops in class. They are now able to spend more time engaging in collaborative and individual work.
Students learning and engagement have increased because they are able to research and type their essays, surf the net, read, and practice typing. Having a laptop in my class with a large screen have also allowed me to access and use differentiated/intervention instruction. Students are now spending more time engaging in collaborative work.
My emergent readers are accessing Phonemic Awareness programs on websites such as roomrecess.com and starfall.com to help develop their English language skills. As you know, good reading skills, especially in a phonics reading program, improves spelling. As students learn to sound out letters and words, reading comes easier.
Once again, thank you for your life changing generosity.”

AAH-AAH-AAH-CHOOO!

We now have access to supplies that they can use in class on a daily basis to prevent the spread of germs. These supplies will help to prevent the spread of the common cold and flu. The result is more students attending school and not missing important lessons due to illnesses.
The Clorox Wipes are helping us to prevent and stop the spreading of germs, especially on desks and other surface areas that the students come in contact with on a daily basis. My students love to clean the desks and other classroom surfaces, as a result of having the Clorox Wipes accessible in class.
Copy paper is being used for many different purposes. For example, students are able to print their typed essays in class because they do not have access to copy paper at home. Hand written essays using the writing process were completed using the donated loose leaf paper.”

Getting To The Core Of The Common Core & More
Funded Dec 12, 2013Wow!! Thanks for making this project "Getting To The Core Of The Common Core & More" a reality. I really needed all of these materials. Thanks for the ink. My students have a lot of typed projects that I am always printing for them. Not to mention, on the spot copies that are needed during a lesson for differentiation.
The vocabulary cards are great because they focus on all reading skills and strategies. The students love to use the cards to quiz each other. They are having fun while learning.
The "Common Core Curriculum Maps in English Language Arts" has helped me with the development of my unit plans. These unit plans were designed to help develop my students' critical thinking skills and my pedagogy.
Your continued support of students and teachers is commendable. Thank you for continuous altruism!”

Thrill My Readers With American Chillers.
Funded Dec 12, 2013Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to engage my students in reading using stamina and rigor.
My students are so ecstatic to receive the American Chillers books. Once they were informed that they have received the books, you should have seen the smiles on their faces. They wanted to read the book right away!
We have started our book clubs and my students can be seen and heard using authentic conversation to discuss their books using literary analysis. This is how I want my students to read at all times.
These books are great to use at the end of the school year because students tend to loose focus and I must say, they are focused and actively engaging in their learning as a result of the American Chillers books that you have donated to us.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Trimble
