Socialize and Play
Funded Dec 26, 2023Thank you so much for donating to my sweet peas! When the boxes arrived it was like Christmas morning. The kids were so excited as I pulled out each new activity that your donation purchased for our classroom! They couldn't wait to start using everything.
The kids have thoroughly enjoyed the marble maze and trying to build new mazes. I have enjoyed listening to them talk with each other as they come up with new ideas! The excitement over the magnetic sticks was over the top! They can't wait until the next day to try and make something new. The ABC puzzle and 4 season puzzles are also well liked! I love how these new activities have sparked even more conversations between my students because of your generosity!”

Free to Dream While They Play
Funded Sep 6, 2023Thank you so much for donating to the Free To Dream While They Play project. Because of you and your generosity my students are able to use these new Mayer and build whatever they can dream up!
My students were so excited as I took the items out of the box. They couldn't wait for the next day, so they could begin using them! So many of my students are handed tablets or some other electronic device where they are not using their imaginations! These items provide them with the opportunity to do just that! They were so excited to build what they dreamed up and show me! The smiles say just how proud of themselves they were. Thank you again for giving!”

Hands -On ABC’S
Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for the donation to our hands on ABC project! The kids were so excited as I have pulled each item out of the box. They love anything they can use their hands to learn.
These items provide my students with the opportunity to learn through hands on play! As they transformed the letter robots I listened to them recognize and calling out the letters they had! One child was unsure of his letter and the other students helped him!
Because of your generosity my kids now have an extra way to learn through play! Thank you so much for giving them this experience!”

Funded Apr 27, 2023Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! Opening the packages and getting everything out was like Christmas morning for us! My littles were very excited to use the materials the next day during small group time.
We used the sound trays and magnetic alphabet circles to build CVC words. After building them my littles would touch and tap out each sound and then blend them together. When we were ready for the next word, we would "clean up" our current word with the magnetic wand. The kids were fascinated with this and how it worked! It makes building words fun!
We are using the ten frame pop its to pop CVC words! My littles love pop its so anytime we can add something fun and new to learning it helps keep them engaged!

Nothing Will Stop Us From Learning
Funded Jul 20, 2020We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donation to our project. When I introduced these digital centers to my kids they were very excited. We have started using these materials in our classroom, so I can help my sweet kinders learn how they work.
Thank goodness we have been able to stay in school for the full first quarter. The students have continued to use them within our classroom, so they continue to get to know them. They love the color and amazingly kindergarten friendly graphics. Using a computer for learning in kindergarten is not something I want to do or something I thought I would ever do...but here we are! I appreciate the support to make their learning engaging!
I have also been working with the kindergarten kids that picked to be online right now. I have been able to use these digital centers with them for extra practice! Thank you so much for supporting my sweet peas and their learning!”

The Gift of Reading
Funded Oct 5, 2019Thank you so much for choosing to donate to our project! With your donation I was able to get not just quality, but durable headphones for littles in my classroom! Before we had headphones that were from 5 below! These worked but could not withstand the daily use of 5-7 year olds. The wires would get pulled out or they would snap at the top.
Our new headphones were made for little hands and bodies! They with stand a lot! With theses new headphones I can now have more students at the listening center without anyone fighting over the better headphones! One of my students said after finishing his center "it was like listening to a story in the clouds!" They all love how soft the headphones are on their ears!
I have one little boy that struggles with reading and can sometimes have some behavior issues. But the listening is his thing! He loves to sit and listen to books and is so well behaved! For many of my sweet peas being read to is not something they have done at home! So I try to get at least 2 read alouds in a day, but now thanks to your donation they can have stories read to them all day long! Thank you for investing in my littles and their future!”

Seat Sacks Save
Funded Sep 6, 2018I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Your donation helped us clear our tables of distractions! With your donation we were able to purchase seat sacks! Now many of our materials are close by which gives us more learning time because we are not wasting our time passing out math boards or writing folders! The students love to have a place for their things!
When we first got the seat sacks it was like Christmas morning! Their was such a buzz in our room! Each of them were wrapped separately so it took me awhile to get them all opened! They anxiously sat waiting for me to say their name! They each came and got their seat sack and placed it on their chair with such happiness and pride! They loved them!
Donors choose is an amazing thing! It has helped me find two projects now for my students! The kids have asked me to try for some help with flexible seating! I love how they know that we received these seat sacks because of kind and caring people! We are hoping as we try for some help with flexible seating options that a few more kind and caring people want to help us! You gave so my students, my sweet peas, could have seat sacks but your donation gave them so much more! Your donation gave my kids confidence that people out there love them and want to see them succeed! Thank you so much!”

Hands on Learning!
Funded Dec 10, 2016When the materials arrived it was like Christmas morning with 22 5 and 6 years old. Before opening the box to show them what was inside I explained to them how people all over the US read about our class! That people wanted to donate money to let us get these things, so they could learn even more in fun new ways! The excitement grew. We even got out the map and talked about where some of the people that donated tour cause were from! Before even opening the box, my students, my children, felt loved by complete strangers! The smiles on their little faces were priceless! Thank you for giving them that warm feeling of being loved and believed in!
Then we opened the box! They could not wait to try everything out! I introduced each activity/game at my table, so the students learn how to work everything and knew the directions. We talked about taking care of our new things and how we could use each of them to get the most learning out of them!
The students are now able to use them at centers completely on their own! It is so nice to know that they are learning and actively engaged at center time, while I am doing guided reading groups! Thank you so much for the joy that you have brought to 22 sweet peas! This was my first time trying donors chose. It was such a rewarding experience”
