  • Gain American Historical Knowledge Through Research

    Funded Dec 2, 2018

Your generosity is greatly appreciated. The students have bee researching about the American Revolution using the resources that you donated to our class. In fourth grade, students need to work on synthesizing across multiple text. Because of your kindness students were able to research through multiple resources and synthesize to gain more knowledge about the American Revolution topic. In addition to learning about the topic, the students were extremely engaged in the subject. I see them telling me everything that they learned and showing interests in their learning. Thank you so much for you donation. It has made a huge difference in my students.”

  • Nonfiction Texts to Research Extreme Weather and Natural Disasters

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I would like to give a sincere thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. My students have been researching information about extreme weather using the resources from your donation. The students were divided into groups and were using the resources to learn more information about natural disasters. Such as, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Tsunamis, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Floods, and Droughts. After students gather their information for their research, they will work as a team to create a poster that is all about their topic. The students have been coming up with amazing information through those resources and they are making great progress with their work.

Thank you again for your donation and it was greatly appreciated.”

  • Jewelry Making for Talented Artists Part 3

    Funded Mar 11, 2017

Thank you all for your contributions to this follow up project. The children have been so excited to create new jewelry that we had quickly depleted our supply of beads, wire, and spacer beads. We had so many new students interested in learning how to make jewelry, that the new pliers were really like a second set of hands. i am always fascinated by the result of my students efforts. Often, what they plan and describe is so different from what they create, yet, the results are always beautiful.

I appreciate all of the help in getting this project funded. The materials came at the perfect time and my students couldn't be happier.

Thank you again for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lo

  • Jewelry Making for Talented Artists

    Funded Dec 30, 2016

The experience with the children for this jewelry club was so amazing. Words can not describe how much the children have learned and improved in jewelry making. It's wonderful to see the children express themselves in ways they can not with words alone. Art and Beauty are universal languages and with these creative materials, my students can share their vision of beauty and give back to their community by making others happy. These jewelry pieces will stand as a testament to your generosity and their ability to create meaningful contributions that are valued by others. That is a pretty powerful thing.

Thank you again for your kindness”

  • Jewelry Making for Talented Artists Part 2

    Funded Nov 23, 2016

Your generosity and kindness was extremely appreciated. The students are so happy to create jewelry. Their creations were unique to their design. When they have a favorite color, or a color scheme that they prefer, all their jewelry would come out very similar. As a result, they created a set of jewelry that represents them. The most wonderful part in my opinion is that not only they learn from me, but I also learn from them! During my lessons and teaching the process, they noticed new patterns additional to what I showed them. They always come out beautiful. We can't express our gratitude enough. Thank you so much.”

  • Origami Jewelry Making Club

    Funded Dec 31, 2015

    Dear Donors,

All the materials that I received to make Origami Jewelry were used to create jewelry with origami pieces on it or a piece of origami paper turned into jewelry. I showed the students how to make an origami butterfly and how to bead a bracelet. After creating the two things, they created a pattern with the beads and connected them together with the origami butterfly. The outcome was unique and beautiful.

The students were very excited to see the materials when we received it. They were very grateful for the donors' generosity. They wanted to know how the materials were going to be used and when can they begin. Especially when they saw the origami paper because the designs on the paper were really beautiful. The excitement was also a great motivation for them to create a beautiful piece of jewelry.

From all the materials that I received, the next project won't be jewelry only. There are other projects that the students can do that involve specifically origami paper. There are many things that we can create with origami paper. For example, different kinds of animals and flowers. The next project would be creating a zoo or a farm made of paper. We can also make flowers out of paper to make a bouquet for indoor decoration or a gift for someone. There are many projects that became possible from the donors generosity. I learned so much about my students and they learn so much about another type of art. Thank you so very much for your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Lo
