About 99% of my students are students that come from a monolingual household. Many of them do not have a strong push from home to learn a second language. My students attend a charter school in Michigan and this charter school is located nearby a Spanish speaking town but still do not seem to be acquiring the necessary skills to use Spanish with people living in this town.
