Dungeons and Dragons revolves around working in a team; in order to proceed with the game, participants must work together. Moreover, the challenges presented in the game give students the opportunity to engage in creative problem-solving, and students must apply logic and forward-thinking in order to effectively implement their strategy (skills immensely useful in math, for example). The social-emotional benefits of the game is one of the biggest reason for creating this club. It will be a place for students to socialize in a safe and encouraging environment. I believe this club will fulfill a need for many students who do not play sports or other traditional clubs in my school.

About my class
