So many of our students lost everything in Hurricane Harvey. This means that they lost internet access and also their devices. Our campus has technology that I can reserve for my classes but it has to be reserved weeks ahead of time. Having devices actually in my classroom will ease this frustration. We are on a campaign to add 10 Chromebooks and a safe storage device to our classroom. When our class sizes average 28, these devices and storage will help my students get more individualized attention. The 10 Chromebooks and storage device that I am requesting will be used for helping my students answer questions that I alone can not answer. Being a history teacher is tough! There is no way possible that I can field all of their questions. That would not only be impossible but totally unrealistic. The storage tubs will allow me to safely protect our investment.
