  • Out Of This World Science With A Classroom Planetarium!

    Funded Oct 28, 2024

Thank you for your donation! We have had "out-of-this-world" space lessons because of your gift of our star/planet projector and slides! I have shared this wonderful gift with all the grades I teach, from Pre-Kindergarten all the way up to 6th grade! The projector has brought outer space lessons into our very own classroom and students have loved looking up and being immersed in astronomical objects! It transforms our classroom into a marvelous learning space that feels like an adventure!

This project would not have been possible without your donation and support! Thank you for your heroic dedication to making immersive science and education experiences a possibility for students! Your gift has been so wonderful! Thank you for helping us turn our class into a planetarium!”

  • Checkmate! Chess Sets and Timers for Epic Chess Club Matches!

    Funded Jun 27, 2024

There is no doubt about it, donors! You are truly champions of education! This last Friday was our school's first ever chess club! With the new mats and pieces, students eagerly got to work in setting up their pieces and learning how to play the game. The excitement was palpable as students got to be the very first students in their school to play chess in a school club. There was so much enthusiasm and energy as we got into an exciting game!

I am so happy to announce that these wonderful chess sets will now be used in a tournament play at the end of the school year. Not only will our students get to enjoy chess in their own school, but they will also prepare for tournament play with other elementary schools that are starting their own chess clubs! All of this would not have been possible without your generous donations to this project. Thank you for finding this project! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I can't wait to share photos of our games! It's "game on" for chess club here at our school thanks to you!!”

    Funded Jan 23, 2024

Thank you so much for purchasing these wonderful cookbooks for our class! I am so excited to share our progress on this project. Students are excited about their baking competition which will take place after standardized testing is completed. Later this month, students will put their skills to the test in the faculty kitchen.

There are several future chefs in my classroom! Students have studied the cookbooks, borrowed them from class, and families have made some recipes at home! This was a delightful and unexpected bonus to our project! Students became excited about food science as a result!

Thank you for bringing these resources to our classroom. We have had delicious results with this project! Thank you for supporting education in our classroom!”

  • "Achoo!" Tissues And Hand Sanitizer For 4th Graders!

    Funded Oct 23, 2023

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! Your donation to my project has had a wonderful impact on student learning! Because of the hand sanitizer and tissues, there have been less students missing school because they are sick. My students have had plenty of tissues to use, and my class is healthier through the difficult flu season, with very minimal sickness resulting in absences!

This is an incredible achievement for this year! Students spend more time in class than being at home sick! More learning happens when students are here every day. Thanks to your donation, there has been less illness and less absenteeism! I am so very grateful for your donation to my class. These supplies are very necessary and expensive and I am grateful for heroes like you who help classrooms get the supplies they need. Thank you for your generous support of my amazing class!”

  • Scientists Inspire 4th Graders!

    Funded Aug 22, 2023

We have just completed a class read aloud of "Who Was George Washington Carver?" and my students learned so much about this famous scientist whose researched saved farms and reinvigorated the peanut industry. As a class, we studied George's progress from a young man interested in plants and flowers, to a scientist who discovered incredible ways to bring nutrients back into the soil of farms through the discovery of crop rotation! We learned about George Washington Carver's time at Tuskegee and how there is a museum there in his honor to this day!

Thank you for our scientist books as well! Students have enjoyed learning about scientists from all different types of fields-from medical research to NASA mathematicians, and robotics to food science!
